Publish your design to the community

Publish a copy of your design to the community, add categories, tags, and a description, and see it appear on your public profile for others to find and remix.

Publish a copy of your design to the community so other creators can find it, use it, and remix it as their own template.

Before you publish

Every design published to the community should follow a few guidelines:

Publish your design

  1. Open the project you want to publish.

  2. Click Share in the top-right corner, then click "Publish project."

  3. Click Publish.

  4. Enter a design name.

  5. Choose one or more categories, such as Product Visuals, Flyers, Facebook Stories, Invitations, Banners, Etsy Listing, Brand Kits, YouTube Thumbnails, or Design Bundles.

  6. Add up to eight search tags, separated by Enter.

  7. Write a short description.

  8. Check "I agree with the Publishing Design Guidelines," then click "Publish To Community."

Expected outcome

A "Congrats!" confirmation appears once your design is live, with the option to open your public profile or continue working. From your profile, each published design shows as its own tile with a usage count badge that ticks up every time someone uses it. Anyone who uses your published design gets their own new copy, using it never changes your original project. The team also reviews published designs, and may feature yours in the editor for other creators to find.

Common questions

What happens to my original project when I publish it?

Nothing. Publishing releases a copy to the community. Your original project stays exactly as it was, and anyone who uses the published version gets a separate new copy of their own.

Who can see what I publish?

Published designs show up on your public profile, and anyone following you is notified when you publish something new.

Can I publish a design that's based on an existing template?

Yes. If your design started from an existing template and you've modified it, it publishes with a "Remix" badge and a link back to the original source file.

What can other people do with a design I publish?

Published designs are released under our license agreement, so others are free to use, modify, or share them, even commercially.
