Use the Kittl MCP connector

Connect Claude or ChatGPT to your Kittl account so you can generate images, run AI workflows, and check your token balance right from a chat window.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) connects AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT directly to your account, so you can generate images and videos, upload and organize files, remove backgrounds, upscale or vectorize images, run AI workflows, and check your token balance right from a chat window. Use it when you'd rather work through an AI assistant than open the editor.

Before you start

There's no one-click connector for Claude or ChatGPT yet, so you'll need to add it manually using the steps below. We're working on official, one-click connectors for the major AI assistants, so this setup will get simpler over time.

Connect Claude

Claude Code

If you use Claude Code, this command registers the Kittl connector for you, so you don't need to go through the Customize menu below. Run it in your terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http kittl https://mcp.kittl.com/mcp

Claude desktop or claude.ai

  1. Open Claude desktop or claude.ai.

  2. Click Customize in the left sidebar.

  3. Click the Connectors tab.

  4. Click Add.

  5. Enter a name and the connector URL, then click Continue.

    • Name: Kittl

    • URL: https://mcp.kittl.com/mcp

  6. On the next screen, click Add. You don't need to change any settings.

  7. Cliick Connect.

  8. Click Approve to let Claude access your Kittl account.

  9. Log in to Kittl with Google or your email and password, if you're not already signed in.

To confirm it worked, start a new chat and ask something like "How many AI tokens do I have on Kittl?" The first time Claude uses a Kittl tool, it'll ask you to approve it. Choose Allow once for just that request, or Always allow so you're not asked again.

Connect ChatGPT

  1. Click your profile picture in the bottom left, then click Settings.

  2. In Settings, click Plugins.

  3. Click Developer mode.

  4. Turn on Developer mode. This lets you add connectors that aren't in the official directory.

  5. Close Settings.

  6. Click Plugins in the main left sidebar.

  7. Click the + icon.

  8. Fill in the New Plugin form.

    • Name: Kittl

    • Connection: https://mcp.kittl.com/mcp

    • Authentication: OAuth (the default)

  9. Check "I understand and want to continue," then click Create.

  10. Click Sign in with Kittl.

  11. Click Approve to let ChatGPT access your Kittl account.

  12. Log in to Kittl with Google or your email and password, if you're not already signed in.

Expected outcome

Once you're connected, you can ask your assistant to do things like generate an AI image, check your token balance, or list your recent projects, and it'll carry out the request using your Kittl account.

Troubleshooting

My assistant doesn't recognize Kittl after I add it.

Double-check the connector URL is exactly https://mcp.kittl.com/mcp, then make sure you completed the login and approval step. Start a new chat afterward, since existing chats won't pick up a connector added mid-conversation.

I can't add another connector on Claude.

The free plan allows one custom connector. Remove an existing connector or upgrade your plan, then add Kittl.

Common questions

Will there be a one-click connector?

Yes, we're working on official connectors for Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI assistants. Until they're live, add Kittl manually using the steps above.

What can I do through the MCP connector?

You can generate AI images and videos, upload and organize files, remove backgrounds, upscale or vectorize images, run AI workflows, and check your token balance, all without opening the editor. More capabilities may be added over time.

Is my account data safe to connect?

Yes, the connector only acts on your own Kittl account and requires you to log in and approve access before it can do anything.
