Ruler and guides

Turn on rulers, create horizontal or vertical guides, snap objects into place, and manage precise alignment on the canvas.

#How to use Ruler and Guides

• Enable rulers from View > Ruler and Guides.

• Use the shortcut Shift + R to toggle rulers on or off.

• Ruler units match your project’s unit setting.

• Ruler resolution dynamically adjusts with zoom levels.

• When an element is selected, rulers highlight its dimensions.

#Creating and Managing Guides

• Click and drag from the horizontal ruler to create a horizontal guide.

• Click and drag from the vertical ruler to create a vertical guide.

• Place guides inside an artboard or anywhere on the canvas.

• Objects automatically snap to guides, ensuring clean and professional layouts.

• Reposition guides by selecting and dragging them.

• Delete guides by selecting and pressing Delete or right-clicking and choosing Delete.
