Use design templates
Browse templates from the home feed or editor, filter by category, search by topic or style, and load a design onto the artboard.
Design templates give you a ready-made starting point for shirts, posters, social posts, packaging, and dozens of other formats. Browse or search the template library, then load a design onto your artboard and customize it instead of starting from a blank canvas.
Browse templates
You can browse the template library from two places: the Templates page, or right inside the editor.
Click Templates in the top navigation (or the Templates icon in the left sidebar if you're already in a project).
Use the category tabs, Discover, Merchandise, Marketing, Social, Stationery, Branding, Business, Covers, Creative Flows, and Videos, to narrow things down.
Some categories break down further into subcategories. Selecting one also adds filters for themes, styles, and colors, plus a sort option, so you can fine-tune your results.
Scroll through curated sections like For You and Trending Now, or a category's own collections, for inspiration.
Search for a template
Click the search bar and type a keyword, style, or theme, for example, "vintage coffee logo" or "bauhaus event poster."
Review the results. Suggested style and category chips appear above them to help you refine further.
Preview and use a template
Hover over any template thumbnail. A Use Template button appears directly on it.
Click the thumbnail itself instead of the button to open a full preview: the creator's name, view and like counts, and a comment section, alongside Use Template, a heart icon to save it to your likes, and a share icon. If the template includes multiple artboards, this preview also lets you flip through each one before you open it.
Click Use Template. It opens the editor, and you'll see the template loaded and ready for editing.
Add a template to a project you're already working on
If you're partway through a design and want to bring in another template without losing your progress or creating a new project, do this from inside the editor instead of the Templates dashboard.
Click Templates in the left toolbar to open the browsing panel over your canvas.
Browse or search for a template, then click its thumbnail to add the template on your canvas.
To see more options first, hover over a thumbnail instead and click the three-dot menu in its upper right corner. This opens a detail card with the template's name, creator, and tags, along with options to add it to your likes or see more templates like it, plus two buttons, Add to Project, which brings it into your current project, and Open in New Project, which starts fresh with it instead.
Save templates for later
Click the heart icon on a template's thumbnail or its preview to save it to your Likes. See Save your favorite templates for the full walkthrough.
Expected outcome
The template loads onto your artboard, fully editable. You can change text, colors, images, and layout just like any other design.
Troubleshooting
I don't see an Add to Project option.
That option only appears when you open the Templates panel from inside an active project. Browsing the standalone Templates dashboard always opens a template in a brand new project instead.
My search isn't returning anything useful.
Try a broader or different keyword, or browse by category instead. The suggested style chips above your results are a quick way to steer the search without retyping it.
Common questions
What does the crown icon on some templates mean?
That's a premium template. It's included on the Pro, Expert, and Max plans. On the Free plan, you won't be able to open it. Upgrading your subscription unlocks premium templates along with the rest of the paid content libraries.
