Use the Kittl MCP connector

Connect Claude or ChatGPT to your Kittl account so you can generate images, run AI workflows, and check your token balance right from a chat window.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) connects AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT directly to your account, so you can generate images and videos, build brand kits, put designs on mockups, clean up and vectorize images, run AI workflows, and organize your files right from a chat window. Use it when you'd rather work through an AI assistant than open the editor.

Before you start

You'll need a Kittl account to connect. If you don't have one yet, create a free account first. Your assistant will ask you to sign in with it during setup.

The connector works with Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, and any other app that supports remote MCP servers with sign-in.

Connect Claude

Claude desktop or claude.ai

  1. Go to kittl.com/mcp and click Add to Claude. Claude opens with the Kittl name and connector URL already filled in.

  2. Click Add.

  3. Click Connect.

  4. Click Approve to let Claude access your Kittl account.

  5. Log in to Kittl with Google or your email and password, if you're not already signed in.

If the link doesn't open the connector window, you can add Kittl yourself.

  1. Open Claude desktop or claude.ai.

  2. Click Customize in the left sidebar.

  3. Click the Connectors tab.

  4. Click Add.

  5. Enter a name and the connector URL, then click Continue.

    • Name: Kittl

    • URL: https://mcp.kittl.com/mcp

  6. On the next screen, click Add. You don't need to change any settings.

  7. Click Connect

  8. Click Approve to let Claude access your Kittl account.

  9. Log in to Kittl with Google or your email and password, if you're not already signed in.

To confirm it worked, start a new chat and ask something like "How many AI tokens do I have on Kittl?" The first time Claude uses a Kittl tool, it'll ask you to approve it. Choose Allow once for just that request, or Always allow so you're not asked again.

Claude Code

If you use Claude Code, this command registers the Kittl connector for you, so you don't need to go through the Customize menu below. Run it in your terminal:

Connect ChatGPT

Kittl is available as an official plugin in ChatGPT, so you don't need to turn on Developer mode or add it manually.

  1. Go to kittl.com/mcp and click Add to ChatGPT. You can also find Kittl under Plugins in ChatGPT's left sidebar, in the Creativity category.

  2. Click Connect on the Kittl plugin page.

  3. Click Sign in with Kittl.

  4. Click Approve to let ChatGPT access your Kittl account.

  5. Log in to Kittl with Google or your email and password, if you're not already signed in.

Connect another MCP app

For Codex or any other app that supports remote MCP servers, add Kittl using this server URL:

If your app uses a JSON config file, add this:

Then sign in with your Kittl account when the app asks.

Expected outcome

Once you're connected, you can ask your assistant to do things like generate an AI image, put a logo on a hoodie mockup, or check your token balance, and it'll carry out the request using your Kittl account. Results show up in the chat and are saved to your Kittl workspace, so you can keep editing them in Kittl any time. The first time your assistant uses a new tool, it'll ask you to approve that action before running it.

Troubleshooting

My assistant doesn't recognize Kittl after I add it.

Double-check the connector URL is exactly https://mcp.kittl.com/mcp, then make sure you completed the login and approval step. Start a new chat afterward, since existing chats won't pick up a connector added mid-conversation.

Claude uses its own tools instead of Kittl.

Claude sometimes reaches for its built-in tools first. Mention Kittl in your request, like "Use Kittl to design a t-shirt for a surf shop," and it'll use the Kittl connector.

I can't add another connector on Claude.

The free plan allows one custom connector. Remove an existing connector or upgrade your plan, then add Kittl.

What can I do through the MCP connector?

You can:

Your assistant can chain these together in a single request. It can't control the full editor, so open your result in Kittl when you want to make detailed design changes.

Does it cost anything?

Connecting is free. Anything you generate uses the same Kittl tokens it would in Kittl itself. Image and video generation and AI workflows use tokens. Vectorizing, upscaling, and standard (Fast) background removal don't cost any tokens. Your conversation with the assistant also counts toward your Claude or ChatGPT plan.

Why does my mockup look low resolution in the chat?

Mockup previews in chat are around 1,000 × 1,000 pixels. Open the mockup in Kittl to export it at a higher resolution.

Is my account data safe to connect?

The connector can only act on your own Kittl account, and only after you log in and approve access. You can disconnect it at any time from your assistant's settings. In Claude, go to Customize > Connectors.
